8com and OEDIV Oetker Daten- und Informationsverarbeitung KG have joined forces in the field of cybersecurity and IT security. The partnership will mainly focus on cybersecurity with the 8com Cyber Defense Center.
“New forms of cyberattack and unknown security vulnerabilities in IT systems are the main causes of the growing threat from cybercriminals – also in the SMB sector. We’re therefore delighted to team up with 8com, a specialist in the cybersecurity arena who will work closely with us and is an ideal strategic complement to our service portfolio,” states Martin Stratmann, Managing Director of OEDIV KG.
8com is a specialised cybersecurity service provider that offers comprehensive protection concepts, ranging from effective prevention, permanent monitoring (detection) of systems, to rapid analysis and response to security incidents. Götz Schartner, CEO of 8com, is also delighted about the new partnership: “OEDIV is a successful premium partner who ideally complements our services for the SMB sector with its professional and secure hosting solutions.” The solution concepts they develop together are to be rolled out to the systems of OEDIV KG’s customers in further expansion stages so as to further increase the level of security offered by the managed service provider. The 8com Cyber Defense Center will monitor customers’ digital infrastructures worldwide. The objective of that is to detect and combat security vulnerabilities before they have a large or critical business impact.
