For us, sustainability is not a trend, but an attitude.
Our vision:

At a time when resources are becoming scarcer and the effects on the environment and climate are clearly noticeable, we see it as our responsibility to act. At OEDIV, we are convinced that sustainable business practices not only contribute to the well-being of our planet, but are also an important building block for the future viability of our company.
That is why we are actively committed to reducing our ecological footprint and using the resources available to us mindfully. We do not see sustainability as a short-term goal, but as a long-term commitment that shapes our actions on a permanent basis.
Sustainability report 2022 / 2023
In our first comprehensive sustainability report, we provide transparent insight into our goals, measures, and progress in the areas of environment, social, and governance—ESG for short.
The report complies with the requirements of the German Sustainability Code (DNK) and the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
In addition, we have published a separate DNK statement in which we report on the basis of the 20 criteria of the DNK. Click here to download the sustainability report and view the criteria.
We are currently also working on the introduction of an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 and an energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001.
Sustainability @ OEDIV
Our employees not only implement sustainability strategically, but also live it in their everyday lives. Here is an insight into our activities:
✔ Participation in CleanUp Day 2024 & 2025
For two years now, OEDIV employees have been diligently collecting trash as part of the City of Bielefeld's CleanUp Day, working together to make a positive contribution to our environment. With tongs, gloves, and trash bags kindly provided by the City of Bielefeld, we have set a visible example for greater environmental awareness and city cleanliness.
✔ Annual participation in City Cycling
OEDIV has been enthusiastically participating in City Cycling for several years now, competing with other teams in Bielefeld. The campaign offers a great opportunity to pedal towards a sustainable future and use your bike more often instead of your car. Here are some impressions from 2024:
👥 30 active cyclists in Team OEDIV
📏 4,377 kilometers cycled – that's equivalent to the distance from Bielefeld to Madrid and back!
🌍 726 kg of CO2 avoided – a great contribution to climate protection and preserving our environment!
📅 620 trips
✔ Climate challenge with the lynes app
Together with the lynes app, a start-up from Detmold, we launched the first OEDIV Climate Mobility Challenge in 2024 to record the climate-friendly kilometers traveled by employees. After two months, the community goal was achieved and a total of 50 trees were donated to the Teutoburg Forest.

✔ Installation of a Fiete bike service station
✔ Our insect house
At the beginning of spring, new, hard-working neighbors can move into our insect house. A small home for bees, beetles, and other insects that help us keep nature thriving.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 global goals set by the United Nations to promote sustainable development worldwide by 2030.
A total of 9 goals have been identified as essential for us.
